sound healing & vibrational therapy

Return to your centre and support your physical and emotional well-being through the grounding resonance of authentic acoustic instruments

Restoring Balance Through Sound

In a busy fast-paced world, our bodies can easily hold onto physical tension and mental fatigue. Sound healing offers an gentle, non-invasive way to soothe the central nervous system and restore inner harmony.

During a session, you will be invited to lie back comfortably as the multi-tone frequencies of traditional Tibetan Singing Bowls and the expansive, deep waves of the Chau Gong wash over you. These rich acoustic layers work together to quiet an overactive mind and melt away deep tissue stress. To conclude your journey of deep rest, gentle acoustic percussion is used to ground your awareness, helping your transition softly back into your body feeling completely refreshed and renewed.

  • Tibetan Singing Bowls: Placed carefully around or near the centre of the body to deliver a targeted, relaxing physical frequencies.

  • Chau Gong Immersion: Creates sweeping sonic landscapes that help shake loose stored structural and emotional tension.

  • Acoustic Percussion: A soothing, natural rhythm that gently guides you back to waking presence and physical clarity.

The Science of Sound & Nervous System Regulation

Sound healing is far more than a relaxing sensory experience; it is rooted in measurable physiological responses. Because our bodies are largely composed of water and dense structural tissue, acoustic sound waves travel fluidly through the skin, bone and cellular pathways - acting directly on our physical form.

When the rich, low frequencies of the Tibetan singing bowl and the deep resonance of the Chau Gong fill the room, they stimulate the vagus nerve. As the longest cranial nerve in the body, the vagus nerve acts as the primary highway for parasympathetic nervous system - our natural ‘rest and digest’ mechanism. Toning this pathway encourages a measurable shift: heart rate slows, blood pressure drops, breathing deepens, and cortisol (the primary stress hormone) decreases.

Simultaneously, auditory entrainment encourages the brain to shift from high-alert beta wave patterns into slower, restorative alpha and theta states. This non-invasive acoustic reset allows the nervous system to let go of defensive holding patters, providing a profound physiological pause that may enhance physical recovery and everyday wellbeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What should I wear or bring to a session?

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to lie down easily. For group journeys, we recommend bringing a Yoga/Pilates mat, a warm blanket, a small cushion or pillow and an eye mask if you use one, to ensure you are completely comfortable throughout the experience. If you find it difficult to lie on the floor for any reason, please contact me directly to discuss how I can help to accommodate you.

Q: How does this benefit my massage or movement practice?

Sound therapy act as a perfect complement to massage and Pilates or yoga. By deeply relaxing the nervous system, it helps muscles drop their defensive holding patterns, making physical treatments and movement even more effective.
